The house which had remained virtually untouched since Dean's death is now undergoing a major remodeling. (caught fire?). Dean moved his during filming of GIANT in summer of '55. He rented it from Nico Romanos, maitre d at his favorite hang out at the time Villa Capri. The A-framed cottage resembled a Barvarian hunting lodge with one large room above which was suspended a sleeping alcove on a balcony.
